This bike was designed and manufactured in England by Vincent Works between 1935 to 1955 (quite a run!). It boasted a 499 cc single cylinder. OHV air cooled engine. Combined with a 4-speed transmission it was certainly a high performance machine in its time. Developed by an Austrian engineer Phil Irving.
All Comet models had both front (Vincent Girdraulic forks) and rear suspension with damping at a time when most manufacturers had only front suspension.
